What We Can Help With

We read every message and respond to: factual corrections (if you have identified an error in the calculator methodology, a statute citation, or a guide — include the specific claim and the source you believe is more accurate); feedback on the calculator or guide content; and questions about the site's methodology or editorial standards.

Corrections are reviewed within five business days. Verified factual corrections are reflected in the content and noted on the affected page.

What We Cannot Help With

We cannot provide legal advice, medical advice, or individualized billing consultation. We cannot advise on your specific hospital bill, evaluate a specific financial assistance denial, or tell you whether a specific charge on your bill is correct. These require professional judgment that goes beyond the scope of an informational resource.

If you need individualized help with a hospital bill, the following resources may be useful: hospital patient advocate offices (most large hospitals have one and access is free); nonprofit patient advocacy organizations; and medical billing advocates (fee-based professionals who review bills and negotiate on patients' behalf — typically charging a flat fee or a percentage of savings achieved).

We aim to respond to all messages within five business days. We cannot guarantee responses to every message and do not respond to requests for case-specific billing advice or legal analysis.
